Jensen Huang gives the keynote at Nvidia's GTC Berlin conference at the Tempodrom on Wednesday 21 October 2026, from 11:00 to 13:00 CEST, which is 09:00 to 11:00 UTC, before the US market opens. Nvidia has confirmed the date, time and venue on its own GTC site, and the keynote is livestreamed free. GTC Berlin runs from 20 to 22 October. Nvidia keynotes are where it unveils new chips, systems, software and partnerships. Reports point to the European rollout of the Vera Rubin platform, supply for the EU's AI Factory sites and partnerships with European model builders such as Mistral AI and Aleph Alpha.
Main stock affectedThe company the event affects most directly.
NVIDIA Corporation, Nasdaq ticker NVDA.
Current priceWhere the shares traded when this write-up was made, and when that was.
$228.87 as of 22 Sept 2026, 20:00 UTC, the regular-session close.
Expected stock reactionWhich way we expect the share price to go after the event. Positive means it rises, Negative means it falls, Mixed means it could go either way.
Mixed, and small. Positive if Huang names large new European customers or sovereign orders with dollar sizes, because that is new demand beyond the US cloud companies the market already models. Negative if the keynote repeats the San Jose roadmap for a European audience, because the last European keynote, in Paris in June 2025, was followed by a small fall.
Action before the eventWhat we suggest you do before the event. Buy, Watch or Avoid.
Watch. Nvidia keynotes have moved the stock both ways, from minus 3.43% to plus 4.98% on the four keynote days in the data, and a regional GTC is usually less important than San Jose or Washington. The keynote ends before the US open, so the content is known before the first US trade.
Why the stock is affectedThe link between the event and this company.
Nvidia sells most of the chips that train and run AI models, and its data centre business made $89.0 billion in the quarter to July, up 117%. The stock's question is how long that growth lasts, and the answer depends on how many buyers there are beyond the handful of US cloud companies. Europe is a large region still early in building its own AI infrastructure, with governments funding it directly. A Berlin keynote is where Nvidia sells that story, and any named order changes the size of the market analysts model.
Catalyst confidenceHow sure we are that the event happens as described. Scored out of 100. Higher means more sure.
Nvidia has confirmed the keynote with a date, a time and a venue, and it has run every scheduled GTC keynote. Confidence that it happens as scheduled: 97%.
Stock-reaction confidenceHow sure we are that the stock reacts the way we expect. Scored out of 100. Higher means more sure.
Low. The four measured keynote days split two up and two down, the one European keynote in the data was a small fall, and at about $5.53 trillion Nvidia moves on earnings and cloud spending more than on any conference. Confidence in the reaction: 40%.
When the market will reactThe moment the price is likely to move, such as at the announcement or at the next market open.
The keynote runs from 09:00 to 11:00 UTC, during the European morning and before the US pre-market is liquid. By the US open at 13:30 UTC on 21 October the announcements will be public and summarised, so the first real reaction is the opening of the regular session.
Effect on the businessWhat the event changes for the company itself, such as its sales, costs or profit.
Indirect. A keynote announces products and partners; the revenue arrives over the following quarters. What Berlin can add is visibility: named European orders, delivery dates for Vera Rubin systems in Europe, and the scale of the EU's AI Factory programme that Nvidia hopes to supply.
Market expectations and forecastWhat investors already expect from this event, and the numbers being forecast.
Expectations for the business are very high, and for the keynote they are modest. At the August results Nvidia beat revenue expectations by about $4.05 billion, guided the October quarter to $108 billion, plus or minus 2%, and Huang forecast growth of about 70% in fiscal 2028, far above estimates. Analysts rate the stock Strong Buy with an average target of $328.66, about 43.6% above the price. My forecast is a keynote heavy on European partnerships and AI factory announcements, with Vera Rubin availability in Europe confirmed, but few new dollar figures. That is a normal regional keynote and a small event for the stock.
How much is already priced inHow much of the expected outcome the share price already reflects before the event happens.
Medium. The stock trades 3.24% below its record high of $236.54 from 14 May and 39.33% above the March low, and it has risen 4.86% in the last month, roughly in line with the Nasdaq 100. The 70% growth forecast already assumes strong demand outside the US. What is not priced in is a named sovereign or enterprise order large enough to move estimates.
Expected price move and durationHow far the share price may move because of this event, and how long that move may last.
Options-Implied Move I cannot confirm a figure for this event. The weekly options covering 21 October also cover the start of the heaviest weeks of big technology results, so no price can be attributed to the keynote. Historical Event Analysis Measured from Polygon's daily bars, on the session in which each keynote was given. GTC San Jose, 18 March 2025: the shares fell 3.43%, from $119.53 to $115.43. GTC Paris, 11 June 2025, given in the European morning like Berlin: the shares fell 0.78%, from $143.96 to $142.83. GTC Washington, 28 October 2025: the shares rose 4.98%, from $191.49 to $201.03. GTC San Jose, 16 March 2026: the shares rose 1.65%, from $180.25 to $183.22. Historical Average Move Plus 0.61%, the average of the four. The average hides the spread: two rises and two falls, with an average size of 2.71% either way. The one European keynote, Paris, was the smallest move and a fall. Our Expected Move Plus 1% to plus 3% if Huang names new European customers or sovereign orders with dollar sizes. Minus 1% to minus 3% if the keynote is a European replay of the San Jose roadmap. Both sides are smaller than the Washington and San Jose moves, because a regional keynote rarely carries the headline products, and close to the Paris move, which is the best comparison. Impact Strength Low. For Nvidia, the next results and the cloud companies' spending plans matter far more than a regional conference. Estimated Duration Intraday to 1 trading day. The stock will trade into the big technology results that follow within days, and into its own results in November. None of these three percentages is the same claim. The options figure would be what the market charges, the historical figure is what the last four keynotes did, and the expected move is my own conclusion.
What else lands that dayOther news and events on the same day that could push the price around, and whether they help this trade, bury it, or work against it.
The day is clear of anything that competes directly with this keynote, but the weeks after it are not. The US third-quarter results season is under way by 21 October, and the largest Nvidia customers, the cloud companies whose spending sets its revenue, report in the following days. Tesla reports on 28 October, and the Federal Reserve meets on 27 and 28 October. None of these lands on 21 October itself, but all of them will soon matter more to the stock than Berlin. Net effect: the move on 21 October is about the keynote, and small enough that sector moves on the day could outweigh it.
Result needed for a big moveWhat the outcome has to be for the stock to move a lot instead of a little.
A number from a buyer, not from Nvidia. A European government or company announcing a multi-billion dollar Nvidia order on stage, or a firm date and size for the EU AI Factory purchases, would add demand the market does not yet model. Product news alone will not do it: Vera Rubin is already known and already in the forecasts.
Possible outcomesThe main ways the event could turn out, with the expected stock reaction for each one.
Positive outcome. Named European orders with dollar sizes and Vera Rubin delivery dates in Europe. Expected stock reaction: a rise of 1% to 3%, toward the $236.54 record high. Neutral outcome. Partnerships and platform updates, no new figures. Expected stock reaction: a move under 1% in either direction. This is the most likely outcome. Negative outcome. A replay of the San Jose content, or a note of caution on export rules or European regulation. Expected stock reaction: a fall of 1% to 3%, toward the 50-day average at $214.60.
Other affected stocksOther companies that could move on the same news, such as suppliers and competitors.
Taiwan Semiconductor builds Nvidia's chips and trades with it on any demand news. Broadcom and AMD are the main rivals in AI chips. Super Micro and Dell build servers around Nvidia systems. ASML, which makes the machines that make the chips, is the European read-through.
What the market may be missingSomething we think investors have overlooked or read wrong.
Europe is being discussed as a product story, and it is really a customer story. The arithmetic: data centre revenue was $89.0 billion in one quarter, and the bulk of it comes from a small number of US cloud companies. Every forecast for Nvidia is largely a forecast of their spending. Sovereign AI, meaning governments paying for national AI infrastructure, is the one large source of demand that does not depend on those companies. Berlin is where the size of that European demand becomes visible. The overlooked risk is the same point turned round: if Berlin shows European demand to be smaller or slower than hoped, the dependence on the US cloud companies looks larger, just before they report.
Main risksWhat could go wrong, and what would prove this call wrong.
The first risk is customer concentration. A handful of US cloud companies drive most of the revenue, and their results arrive days after this keynote. The second is export and trade policy, which has repeatedly changed where Nvidia can sell. The third is competition, from AMD and from the custom chips the cloud companies design with Broadcom and others. The fourth is the market itself. With a beta of 2.22, Nvidia moves more than the market on any broad shift in technology stocks.
Other factorsAnything else worth knowing that the sections above do not cover.
Nvidia holds $62.47 billion of cash against $38.86 billion of debt and produced $127.01 billion of free cash flow over the trailing year. It pays a dividend of $1.00 a year, a yield of 0.44%, and buys back stock.
Trend over 6 to 12 monthsWhich way the share price has been heading over the past year, and how far it has travelled.
Up. The shares are up 29.02% over the last 52 weeks, 31.66% over six months, 8.98% over three months and 4.86% over the last month. The 52-week range runs from $164.27 on 30 March 2026 to $236.54 on 14 May 2026, and the 21 September close sits 87.3% of the way up it, 3.87% below the high and 38.42% above the low.
Recent price actionWhat the shares have done over the last few weeks and sessions, and on what kind of volume.
The stock has spent the four months since the May high below it, and has worked back toward it in September. It closed the 21 September session close to that day's high of $228.50, after trading as low as $221.56.
Market structureThe shape of the chart. Rising highs and rising lows mean an uptrend, falling ones mean a downtrend, and neither means the price is stuck in a range.
A strong recovery from the March low, then a range beneath the May high. The price is pressing toward the top of that range. Picture a ball that has bounced back up toward a ceiling it touched once in May.
Support and resistance zonesPrice areas where buyers have stepped in before, and price areas where sellers have. They often slow the price down when it gets there again.
Resistance is $236.54, the record high of 14 May. A daily close above it would put the stock in new ground. Support is the 50-day average at $214.60, then the 200-day at $198.61.
50-day and 200-day moving averagesThe average closing price over the last 50 days and the last 200 days. Where the price sits against them shows whether the recent trend is strong or fading.
A moving average is the average closing price over that many trading days, drawn as a line so the trend is visible without reading every session. The 50-day average is $214.60 and the 200-day is $198.61. The 21 September close was 5.95% above the 50-day and 14.49% above the 200-day, and the 50-day sits $15.99 above the 200-day. That is the arrangement of an established uptrend.
Relative strengthHow this stock has performed against the wider market and against its own sector over the same period.
Nvidia is ahead of the Nasdaq 100 tracking fund on every window, but only just in the short term: by 0.56 percentage points over one month, 8.50 over three months, 4.27 over six months and 4.47 over twelve months, 29.02% against 24.55%. It is moving with the market rather than leading it.
Volume trendHow many shares are changing hands lately compared with normal. Heavy volume behind a move means more traders agree with it.
Slightly higher. The 20-day average is 135,247,227 shares against a 50-day average of 124,696,018, about 8.5% higher. Buying has picked up a little as the stock approaches its high.
VolatilityHow much the share price swings day to day right now, compared with how much it usually swings.
The 14-day average true range is $6.07, or 2.67% of the price, and the average daily high-to-low range over 20 sessions is $5.72, or 2.52%. Realised volatility is 30.64% over 14 days and 40.48% over 50 days, annualised. A normal day moves about as much as the expected reaction to the keynote.
Long-Term Technical ViewThe wider chart over years. The big trend, the major price levels and how much the stock swings.
The long-term support is the March 2026 low at $164.27. There is no long-term resistance above the May high of $236.54.
Technical biasWhat the chart alone suggests, ignoring the news. Rated Bullish, Neutral or Bearish.
Bullish. The price is above both averages, the 50-day is above the 200-day, and volume is picking up. The caution is the May high directly above, which the stock has not yet broken. The bullish chart does not contradict the mixed call. The chart says the trend is up. The catalyst view says this keynote is unlikely to be the thing that breaks the record high, and that Nvidia's next decisive test is its customers' results.
What would invalidate this biasThe price level or chart change that would prove the technical read wrong.
A daily close below the 50-day average at $214.60 would turn it neutral. A close below the 200-day at $198.61 would turn it bearish.

Stock OverviewThe basic numbers. Price, size of the company, sector, the past year of highs and lows, trading volume and the next earnings date.
Market value is approximately $5.53 trillion on 24.15 billion shares. Nvidia operates in the technology sector and the semiconductor industry. Its 52-week range is $164.27 to $236.54. Recent average daily volume is about 135 million shares. The GTC Berlin keynote is on 21 October 2026 and third-quarter fiscal 2027 results are due in November.
What the company doesThe business in plain words. What it sells, who buys it, and how the money reaches the company.
Nvidia designs graphics processors and the systems, networking and software built around them. Its chips train and run most of the world's large AI models, and its CUDA software is the standard way developers program them. It also sells chips for gaming, professional graphics and cars. Manufacturing is outsourced, mostly to Taiwan Semiconductor.
Revenue BreakdownWhere the money comes from, split by product, by part of the business and by country.
Second-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue, to 26 July 2026, was $96.2 billion, up 106% on a year earlier and 18% on the previous quarter. Data centre revenue was $89.0 billion, about 93% of the total, up 117%. Trailing twelve-month revenue is $302.97 billion.
Company GrowthHow sales, profit, earnings per share and spare cash have changed over the last few years.
Revenue has roughly doubled in a year, and Nvidia guides the October quarter to $108 billion, another sequential step of about $11.8 billion. Huang has forecast growth of about 70% in fiscal 2028. Company growth is High.
Earnings PerformanceThe latest results, whether they beat or missed what the market expected, and what the company says comes next.
The July quarter beat expectations on revenue, $96.22 billion against about $92.17 billion, and on earnings, $2.22 a share adjusted against about $2.10. Gross margin was 75.0%. Trailing net income is $192.88 billion.
Financial HealthCash, debt, cash flow and profit margins, and whether the company keeps issuing new shares. Rated Strong, Average or Weak.
Cash is $62.47 billion against $38.86 billion of debt, and trailing free cash flow is $127.01 billion. Financial health is Strong.
ValuationWhat you pay today for what the company earns, next to its rivals and its own past. Rated Cheap, Fair or Expensive.
The trailing price to earnings ratio is about 28.9 on trailing earnings of $7.91 a share, and the forward ratio about 19.0. Price to sales is about 18.2, enterprise value to EBITDA about 27.3 and the PEG ratio about 0.36. These ratios show how much you pay today for each dollar of profit. Measured against growth, Nvidia is Fair: a forward multiple under 20 for a company growing this fast is lower than the market pays for many slower businesses.
ShareholdersWho owns the company. Big funds, company insiders, and whether ownership sits with only a few holders.
Institutions own about 70.80% of the shares and insiders about 3.91%, much of it Jensen Huang's. Short interest is 1.29% of the float.
Insider ActivityWhether the people running the company have been buying or selling their own shares lately.
I cannot confirm any specific open-market insider transaction in the period covered by this card, so I am not quoting one.
Dividends and BuybacksCash paid out to shareholders, whether that payment looks safe, and whether the company is buying back its own shares.
The dividend is $1.00 a year, a yield of 0.44%. Nvidia also buys back stock.
Competitive PositionWho the company competes with, how much of the market it holds, and what it has that rivals do not.
In AI chips Nvidia competes with AMD and with custom chips designed by its largest customers. Its advantage is the whole system: chips, networking, software and a developer base that has built on CUDA for years. The weakness is concentration, both of customers and of manufacturing in Taiwan.
Future OutlookWhat sales and profit are expected to do next, and what management has promised.
My view is positive on the company. Revenue is growing at triple-digit rates in data centres, margins are around 75%, and guidance points to more growth. The risks are customer concentration and trade policy rather than demand.
Other Upcoming Company CatalystsOther events ahead that could move the share price, such as results, launches or approvals, apart from the catalyst this report is built on.
The results of the large cloud companies in late October, Nvidia's own third-quarter results in November, and GTC Washington from 30 November to 3 December, with Huang's keynote on 1 December.
Long-Term Company RisksWhat could weaken the business over the coming years, rather than around this one event.
The largest long-term risk is that the cloud companies slow their spending, or shift more of it to their own chips. The second is geopolitics: export controls and the concentration of manufacturing in Taiwan. The third is cyclicality. Semiconductor booms have always been followed by digestion periods, and Nvidia has not yet been through one at this scale.
Traderavel VerdictOur straight answer on the company after everything above, not on the trade. Quality, growth, price, risk and the long-term view.
Nvidia is the strongest business in its industry, growing at a pace no company of its size has sustained before, at a valuation that is fair against that growth. Growth is high, financial health is strong and company risk is medium. The Berlin keynote is a regional event on a stock whose next real test is its customers' results. The card suits investors who want to hear the size of European demand before the cloud companies report, and traders who can accept a move about the size of an ordinary day. It does not suit anyone expecting a regional keynote to break the record high on its own.
